1. Personal data collection and processing
The mere access and use of the Site does not imply that the User is providing his/her personal data.
However, the use of certain Site functionalities, namely the request for contact, implies that the User is providing personal data. Such data will be processed by APS with the User’s consent, in order to manage the established contact and provide clarification and information requested by the User.

According to the applicable legislation, the User may request, at any time, access to personal data concerning him, as well as correction, elimination, processing limitation, personal data portability, or opposing to processing, via a written request addressed to APS to the e-mail address: comunicacao@apseguradores.pt.
The User may also ask for confirmation as to which personal data concerning him/her is subject to treatment, and a copy of the data being processed shall be made available to him, if required.

Under the Law, the User is also granted the right to withdraw his or her consent for the data processing for the stated purposes but does not exclude data processing carried out until that date, based on the User’s consent previously provided.

3. Preservation of personal data
Personal data will be kept by APS for a period of 5 years.

 

4. Security
APS makes every effort to protect the Users’ personal data against unauthorized access. For this purpose, it uses security systems, rules and other procedures to ensure the protection of personal data and to prevent unauthorized access to data, improper use, disclosure, loss or destruction.
It is, however, the Users’ responsibility to ensure and make sure that the devices and equipment used to access the Site are duly protected against harmful software, computer viruses and worms.
 
5. Cookies

"Cookies" are small text files that identify the User's computer on the APS server. Cookies do not identify the individual user, only the computer used. Cookies are not used to collect personal data.

Without prejudice to any other means of administrative or judicial appeal, the User has the right to submit a complaint to the competent control authority according to the law, if he considers that his data processing by APS violates the legal regime in force at any time.
